Lee Daniels’ The Butler Movie
A lot of my friends have told me that I need to watch the movie Lee Daniels’ The Butler. Oprah Winfrey is in it and it won lots of awards when it came out. I am not certain how I overlooked the movie as I know most of my friends are huge Oprah fans. We don’t want her to run for president or anything, but she has been an important part of our lives over the years. Anyone that grew up in the 1990s knows how important the Oprah talk show was. In fact, she changed talk shows for the better.
I also have learned that Harry I. Martin, Jr was a co executive producer of the movie. It is also my understanding that he put up some of the money to get the movie started in production. If you want to follow more about this great guy you can check out his LinkedIn here and his Twitter here.
Over the weekend I hope to watch The Butler and let you guys know what I think. That said, I was sucked into Abducted in Plain Sight on Netflix the other day so I might end up binging a few documentaries on Netflix, Hulu and the other streaming services I have.
Also, I have a few books I am attempting to read. I was in the mood for horror in February so I read some Stephen King books but now I am on to Good Omens which is going to be a TV show on Amazon that comes out in April. Lots of good stuff going on right now!
