Well guys! I tried a little something new! I attempted to try one of the hottest fashion trends of the season, the jumpsuit! The bargains: I purchased this black, silver and grey sequined-rimmed jumpsuit in black from It’s Fashion’s Metro for $22. I paired it with a black single-breasted blazer purchased from Lane Bryant for $20 a few years ago. Not pictured: silver, peep-toe, platform pumps at CitiTrends for $13 and a silver chain clutch at Cato’s Fashions for $7! Whoop whoop! I always loved the stylish look of the jumpsuit but I never dared to try it because it unpleasant stomach issues! LOL I also didn’t want to look like a plumber or one of the Super Mario Bros. There was one in green but I chose to go with black. That’s always a safe bet when worrying about if something will flatter you or not. Well, pics are below. Whatcha think?
One day, I will purchase a better camera and i’ll be able to show you greater details.
What I’m Lovin’ right now is that Norma Kamali and Miss Tina Knowles have collections exclusively for Walmart and they go up to a size 2X! Norma Kamali debuted at Walmart a couple of years ago and Miss Tina debuted quite recently – October 2010. I heard about this on the internet and I wanted to see first hand so I took a trip to Walmart and snapped photos of some of the pieces in both collections. Tell me what you think?
Norma Kamali for Walmart

Norma Kamali, a fashion designer known for innovative designs like her sleeping bag coat, her use of silk parachutes as fabric and fashion-forward take on jersey sportswear.”
Here are some of the pieces that are in our local Walmart. (Statesboro, Ga and Hinesville, Ga)
Very nice work separates and trendy prints with the army camouflage, stripes, and ruffles. The prices range from around $15 to $25 and sizes go up to a 2x.

"Most stores only carry up to a size 12 or a 14 and they go so quickly. If a woman can't find something, she gets frustrated. We can use different-sized fit models and create things that fit a range of sizes. Whether you're a size 2 or a 22, you deserve good fashion."

Check the video!!!

Miss Tina’s styles are a little more trendy, befitting the mother of a hiphop/R&B/pop princess. I fell in love with the shrugs. I’ve never really agreed with my “right to bear arms”! LOL It appears as though Miss Tina has brought back the Velour knit and the wrap dress. Prices range from $10 to $30 and sizes go up to a 2X.

As a way of saying thank you to Miss Knowles for thinking of the curvy girl, I dedicate this blog entry to her daughter, the diva herself, Beyonce Knowles. This song has been the song in my heart on several occasions! Enjoy!
Can I just add that I love the trench coat she wears in this video? FYI, it’s “The Real Deal“, a water repellant ruffle hem classic trench (but it’s sold out) by Jillian Lewis to be purchased as Searle.com.
Alright! Long enough! Tootles babes! I love you guys! Don’t forget to “like” me on Facebook! Bye!
